A juvenile peregrine falcon was rescued today (Monday 23 June) after getting trapped in netting seven storeys high at a Brighton hotel.
The young bird, believed to be just a few months old, was suspended in mid air between two parts of Brighton Metropole Hotel on Kings Road. It is thought he is part of a family living in nearby Sussex Heights.
The bird, nicknamed Metro by staff at the hotel, suffered feather damage but no breakages and has been taken the charity’s Mallydams Wood Wildlife Centre in Hastings for care.
