Notice about Rubbish Collection

On Saturday one of our Board members did the bin run in Sussex Heights as an exercise in information gathering.

In future, if residents expect their rubbish to be collected from inside their bin cupboards, please ensure the following:

1. The bin cupboard is unlocked. If your bin cupboard is locked, you must be responsible for the disposal of your own rubbish.
2. All your rubbish is in proper tied plastic bags.
3. Ensure that your bag is not overfilled and likely to split.
4. All cardboard must be broken down, flattened and put in a separate open bag with handles. Please do not dump empty unflattened cartons in the bin area.
5. All paper, newspapers and magazines must be in an open bag with handles.
6. Glass bottles and jars must be washed, with lids removed, and put in a separate open bag.
7. Ensure that broken glass is well wrapped so that it doesn't cause injury. Please no sharp objects.
8. Please do not leave any perishable rubbish in your cupboard for more than 12 hours.

Please note that any rubbish that is not placed in proper bags WILL NOT BE COLLECTED.

Rubbish MUST NOT BE LEFT ON THE CARPET on the landing even if it is in a bag.
