The young which are now 10 weeks old have been flying for almost a month. All four chicks look like strong, healthy flyers. They are still hanging around Sussex Heights, though venturing further afield as they get bolder and stronger flyers. All six birds were seen in the air together at one point last week. Some lucky observers have seen mid air food exchanges whereby one of the adults passes food to a youngster. They will need to learn to catch prey themselves.
This has been a tremendously successful season for our Peregrines, raising and successfully fledging four chicks (3 males & a female).
